A quiet pre-open checklist for swing days
Five lines we ask intensive participants to complete before the cash open — short enough to finish, strict enough to matter.
Long checklists die on busy mornings. The version we refine in week four of the intensive fits on one page and takes under ten minutes once you know your levels.
The five lines
- Bias in one sentence — trending up / ranging / transitioning, with the timeframe named.
- Key level in play — one primary, one secondary; both already on the chart.
- Waiting condition — what must print before size is allowed.
- Invalidation — the event that cancels the idea.
- Size cap — maximum loss in account currency if invalidation hits.
What stays off the page
News headlines, social tips, and “targets.” Targets can live elsewhere; the pre-open page is about permission and refusal.
When to rewrite mid-session
Almost never. If overnight price action destroyed the structure you mapped, the honest move is to stand down — not to invent a new checklist under pressure. Mentorship sessions often spend half the hour on that discipline alone.
